Our Beloved, Ana Andrade DaLomba "Nana Di Femia ku Padjemi", 85 Years Old passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2022 surrounded by her Loving Family.
Born in Brava, Cabo Verde Island, and residing in North Providence, RI, Ana was the most fun loving and hard working mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend and an inspiring giver to our community. Her unwavering positive energy, contagious and incomparable kind heart, vibrant genuine sense of humor and smile is one that people will never forget. Ana was a farmer and retailer who worked tirelessly and gave her husband all the support needed to give her 10 children life, raise and educate her children, step children and grandchildren until her last breath. There has not been a single time while she is eating her meals that Ana did not think of her upbringing and the need of giving to others. Her dream until her last days has always been to share her meals with her community children back in her home land.
She is survived by her late parents Pa Gemi and Nha Femia, her late husband and the love of her life Henrique DaLomba, her golden children Eugenia Andrade, Jose Andrade, Silvestre Andrade, late Isabel DaLomba, João DaLomba, Antonio DaLomba, Francisco DaLomba, Carolina DaLomba, Jack DaLomba, and Guilherme DaLomba.
She also left behind her beloved Tipan, her best friend Denizia, her dog Simba, her diamond grandchildren, great grandchildren and step children, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and countless loving friends. Her love for her family was LARGER THAN LIFE. If she ever finds out that you try to hurt anyone in her circle, she would be sure to find you and educate you in how to be kinder and if you don’t listen she had remedy for you “POU ku BUFATADA E SOC. While Ana’s passing left a painful wound in our hearts, wise beyond her years she assured us all she is now our angel up above. Her vibrancy, fun and passion for a happy life will be with us forever.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 17th at 9:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Church, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket RI at 11:00am. Burial will be at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket RI. Calling hours will be held Thursday June 16th from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made so she can continue to feed her community children back in her beloved Brava Island. Ana touched so many lives. She is a tremendous loss and will deeply be missed.
